We are all in this together
During this time of uncertainty, it’s a good reminder that we are all in this together. We are confronted with the unknown and need to invent ways to deal with it. We are well aware that these circumstances among many other things also have a major impact on the execution of the Her Choice programme. Especially now that the schools in most of the programme countries are closed, many activities simply cannot be carried out any more. In addition, we are faced with restrictions on travelling, on group meetings or even on leaving our houses.
In Europe, we are currently in the epicentre of the pandemic. We are confronted with a reality we simply couldn’t imagine earlier on. Things we always took for granted are disappearing and seemingly unimportant things are taking on a new meaning. We observe that the countries where our partner organisations live and work, are doing everything in their power to prepare themselves in such a way that the Corona virus will not spread uncontrolled. We also know that you will be facing challenges of a different nature than we are over here.
We want you to know that you are on our mind and that we offer you our support in every way we can. At the same time, we would like to urge you to put your own safety and that of the people in our communities first, and not to take any risks in the implementation of activities. In the four years that we have been collaborating, we have grown into a global Her Choice family. So, let’s use our family ties and share our concerns, updates, stories and challenges in order for us to keep in touch and support each other!
